OK, no real reason other than I just want to know. What was the alert tone format and frequencies used for the 70's TV series "EMERGENCY". I know some of you remember this show. Anybody got this info tucked away somewhere collecting dust.

I put a wav file of sta-51's tones on a firefighter's Nextel for a ringtone, and one of the young firefighters had never heard them. I though all firemen had watched Emergency at one time. I assume it is still in reruns.

As someone who is rapidly approaching old fart status I was fortunate to have enjoyed the originals as a youngster. When I first started my career we still had a couple Ward Lafrance pumpers and were phasing out QC 1.

I have that for my ringtone also. Really turns heads but at least I know it is my phone ringing.

I thought it would be cool as a station tone since we have an E5-1 and Rescue 5-1.

I guess I will figue out some sort of loop audio to open off our QCII alert.

Just want to see if I can do it.

I still see it on TVLand sometimes and I have two episodes given to me that were purchased from the studio on VHS.

Amazing how that show paved the way for EMS services.

I posted the ringtones if anyone wants. They are set up for Iden units that will take wav files. Use WEBJAL to load them into your iden unit.
