Low audio (MTX2000)

Hi guys; I have an MTX2000 (UHF 403-470) that is acting strange.
When I put the radio into service mode, the volume knob registers 1-255 and has very loud beeps (this is normal). However, when the radio is receiving over the air, audio is pretty poor. When the volume knob is turned all the way up, you only get about half of the audio you would normally get. In the Service Menu, Rated Audio is set to 245 (I never max it out on any of my radios), which is the same as all my other Jedi portables and they sound fine.
This isn't an "all of the sudden" problem, it's been happening for awhile (as long as I can remember), I've just never really cared about it but I was trying to use the radio in a particularly loud environment the other day and noticed it just wasn't cutting it.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
