What is the difference between the black lable and the white lables?
Thanks

If your talking about the model stickers....
The Black ones were the 1st generation stickers used. Towards the end of the line, or ones that were cycled thru the depot, they got white stickers, if they needed to be replaced.
Other than that, nothing.

Are we sure about that? I have a Spectra that was puchased back in the early 90's, it has a white sticker. I have another Spectra (both analog) that was new in box shortly before the line was discontinued, and it has a black sticker.
I would be inclined to believe that the black ones are newer simply because that's what they use now for the Astro radios. Seems they'd just keep the existing machine/printer.

There are two different types of white labels. The one PJ is referring to are depot tags; they are slightly smaller than the original spectra tag.
The original Spectra tags are a "dirty" white with gray font:
The black Spectra tag, generally indicative of a newer (mid-late 90s) manufacture date.
Edit: added picture of black tag for completeness

The tag in the second picture is the first generation sticker... the black stickers are the second generation. The cheezy white ones would either be Depot, or fake.

Ah my bad, I thought you were refering to the older dot-matrix style.
