I've just got my hands on a MTS2000 Model II with Firmware R6.10. What are peoples experiences with MTS2000 Model II's? Are there really as many problems with the display as I've read?

Is it possible to see if I've got a radio that might experience display problems?

Anything else anyone can add? (By the way, it is a UHF 403 - 478mhz radio)

Out of the dozens of MTS 2000s I've used and seen used (before being replaced with XTS 5000s etc), I can't say I've ever seen a bad display. They're apparently more prone to display problems than other models though.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Deal with it if the problem comes up, but other than that, don't stress to much about it. They're generally great radios, with the exception of the antenna connector coming loose (far more common than a bad display as far as I can tell).
