04 mirror led's on 07 tahoe?

Have: pair of 04' whelen mirror beam LED's which belongs to a friend. He isgetting rid of the 04 for an 07. Are they going to work, or does he have to buy new ones??
04' model year mirror beam LEDs will not work on the NEW 07' due to the redesign... Looks like your gonna have to get some new ones!
