MCS2000 firmware & toolproofing

Hi there,

Just wanted to make sure... we all know MTS2000 firmware has toolproof protection, what about MCS2000? Yes, I've searched, but most posts regarding this are more than 3-4 years old. So I just wanted to make sure that the MCS2000 is still a "hackable radio"... and BTW do you need a SmartRIB to upgrade features with LAB?

Thanks.

No toolproof on the MCS.

No need for a SmartRIB.

The best is to read the native codeplug with mtsx-lab and save it to HD.
Whe you have problems, you can easy restore the radio.
I don“t had a real MCS2000,but I would say,the newer MCS radios are toolproofed too.
I think it is the same like the newer GM/GP1200 firmware.

Supposedly (I have not yet personally confirmed) the newest MCS2000 firmware is toolproof.
