GR300 / ZR310 Help!!!

Post by mhoeft »

I am replacing a bad GM300 with a CDM750 for transmit radio.
Can someone tell me which accessory connector pins need to be programmed, and what they need to be programmed to in CPS?
I checked the service manual and it is a bit vague
Thanks in advance

Is the GM300 bad to the point that you can't read it to get the pin programming? It's going to depend on whether or not it's bi-directional, but basically the TX radio doesn't require any specific programming...Pin 3 is normally factory programmed as External PTT in the CDM series, to match it up with the hard coded Maxtrac/GM series Pin 3. The CDM also uses the same Pin 2 Tx audio input & Pin 7 ground.

Basically, it should be "plug & play".

Not to mention that the CDM 750 will have a drop down menu in the accessory pin configuration tab that will allow you to choose the R.I.C.K. or Zetron controller TX or RX and it will set the proper pin configuration for you. :)

Just be sure to set Flat / Filtered audio and Flat / Ext mic audio in the accessory configuration as it won't do that for you.
