I am trying to reconfigure a secure-capable CXB UHF MSF5000. I have the MSF5000 rss VERSION 3.09, but it tells me it is the wrong version when I try to read the station.

Is there a way to cross-reference which RSS versions are compatible with which versions of station firmware?

Is there a list on the web somewhere?

you need to make sure tht you have an RSS programable MSF and not one where you need the briefcase programmer

3.09 is ancient.

Just call Motorola and get the last version, it costs less than a hundred bucks.
