gentlemen

I have a spectra model t83fwa7ha4ak can this radio be programed for the whole 2 meter band or just the upper half also does anyone know where to get a key to work in the lock on this so I can unlock the handle to install the radio in my truck

the spectra will cover the 2 meter phone band with no trouble. when you read the radio, it should say conventional expanded. if not try to find a code plug from a spectra that is convev expanded. key number 235 is the key for your radio. look on ebay or ask here on batlabs. i don't have one, olepro

thank you for help with this I am now looking for a person in my area to program my new radio I have one person in the area but he can not do it for 2 to 3 weeks.

If you consider Kent, WA to be 'local,' I can do the programming for you, as well as check that radio for the deadly (to the radio) "leaky caps" problem and give it a full bench check.
