I have seen a setup that listens for the emergency signal from the MTS/MCS2000 series radios. This was on a Smartnet type II system. It was a Spectra with a box underneath of it. The display on the Spectra read RF Modem as the channel name, and the whole thing was interfaced to a computer running some type of program. I would guess the box under the radio was some sort of modem to interface the computer to the radio system. In the same room, the two main consoles and the supervisor console also decoded the emergency signal. I wish I could remember more about this setup, but its been over a year since I saw this now. Anyone that could explain how this setup worked and what software may have been running?
Thanks, Ryan
Question about setup for Emergency Button Decode

It was probably either "system watch", or "SIP" (system information program??...I forget what it stood for now). Both systems basically monitored what was going on by listening to the control channel, similar to freeware programs like Trunker & Treport which do the same thing. One thing about the Motorola programs though...they could be used to send inhibit commands to kill invalid radios on the system.

The consoles themselves should be able to decode an emergency radio alarm (and usually lights flash and the console starts with a very loud audio alarm).
I'd imagine that SysWatch was thrown in there as part as the build package or for another purpose. It wouldn't be there for just the emergency alarms, but part of seeing the overall health of the system.
