MTS2000 VHF s-record

Post by WB4JGI »

I've got a VHF Full Keypad MTS2000 and I have a need for Multikey and MDC stat alert. Is all I need a s-record with Multikey and MDC and the correct software to force it into the radio and hopefully should aquire those features? Oh almost forgot the Firmware is v5.41

Isn't that the firmware rvn when toolproofing started?

Otherwise, from what I have been able to glean, that's right, but when you force that S Record in, you also may force in the donor records' softpot setting, making you need to do some tuning.

.... so I've read. Others will know for certain.

What radios do you own?: APX

An S-Rec or regular plug will work fine... Just right down your tuning values before you dump in the plug, and you'll be good to go.

Stupidity creates job security!

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

According to the Batlabs MTSX page, toolproofing started with 5.42. He's right under the wire.
