Hi, I am new to the Centracom II. I just got it the other day from AWT in Michigan. We brought it home to SC and now are trying to hook it all back up. I have 1 position and all the CEB and cards working properly. I have 3 66 blocks hooked up too. Most of the system uses tone remote and DC. I am wanting to control Maxtracs or Gm300s. I have tried to go through and find the right place on the blocks with a butt set to see if I could get audio from the console with no luck. Is there anyone willing to assist me in getting this going. I am slightly visually impaired which makes it more of a challenge. Any help would be appreciated very much.

if you have a bim in the first card slot you should have tx on the first pair
rx on the second pair and logging is the third pair.
it then moves to slot 2 Bim.
put the butt set on the first pair and press the reset button on the bim( or just pull the card)you should hear a tone
CEB are hot pluggable so keep the power on.

Big ass rack mount Centracom II OP's in an apartment... That's healthy... How do you move around in there?
You're going to need tone remote interfaces for your GM300's and MaxTrac's. You can't just plug the BIM output into the back of the radio - it doesn't work that way.
You need a Tone Remote Interface connected to the GM300 or MaxTrac that will allow the radio to be tone controlled. Then you've got to configure the radio to interface with that tone remote.
Then the output of your BIM connects to the tone remote interface which in turn connects to your mobile radio.
You *REALLY* need to read the documentation on your Centracom CEB stuff... That system is truly not plug and play, it's gonna take a lot of work, but moreso a lot of EQUIPMENT to make it control radios like that.
You mentioned you had this stuff in your apartment in another post... That scares me..

Yes, It is in my apartment. I have a 3 bedroom apt with a spare room for the racks and another radio room for the one position. The 2nd position is in my living room. Yes, I know it sounds crazy, but I am bored lol. The apartment where I am does allow me to have radios and a tower. I do dispatch for a local EMS service from the house nights and weekends. I used the PC based consoles beforem but never used CCII. What do you all recommend as a tone remote for a maxtrac? I want the cheapest one around.
