Can The BCD-396T Do MDC1200 Decode
Can This Scanner Do MDC1200 Decode? I can't find anything about it online here...
Thanks
Thanks
No, but you can download a neat program that will read it from your scanners audio.

KnacK works pretty well here. I use the discriminator output and feed it in the mic. As long as the imbe signal is resonably strong, it decodes nac everytime.Rayjk110 wrote:Works with a 2096 here.
What I WOULD like to see is a NAC decoder. That would be cool. Altho the few that exist suck...I've tried with my XTS radios to the decoder and no bueno...oh well.

WinTone Works really well. Kind of overkill for DTMF, but still a good app.
let me start by appologizing with my contribution to the off topic post...
my question, however, (and i havent found a board to post this on), but i've been sincerely intrigued about this descriminator / slicer thing... and i would like to take the dive into doing this.. no prob with the soldering, but can someone point me in the right direction about how to do this project.

Go into Start Menu / All Programs / Accessories / Entertainment - And choose the Volume Control.KitN1MCC wrote:could not locate the setting for this i may just be blind and missing itve3nsv wrote:Did you go into your record properties and check off the input (line / mic) that you where using?

One in the Volume Control choose the Options Tab at the top left corner and then Properties.
Once in the Properties Tab choose the Recording Tab and make sure the Line In and Mic in box are checked in the list below and click Ok.
Now you are in the Record Control Window, check the Line In or Microphone box depending on what your using and set the slider to halfway to start.
You should be off to the races at this point. I would suggest you use Line In unless you are on a Laptop and have no choice.
