Amplified Speakers

I purchased a couple of /\/\oto amplified speakers (NSN6054A) and searched how to wire them for other applications. I found some info here, but I also found a document on a Yahoo Group board that has info on most of the other amplified speakers as well (FT897 group). I'd like to put the pdf file somewhere. Is there anyway to put it up here at Batlabs?

Also, the author said to use an audio xmfr to break the ground loop and eliminate the hum in the audio. I tried it and it works GREAT! The hum is completely gone.

Thought I'd pass this along.

Yep, that's the one. This link should clear up any questions about how to use a Motorola amplified speaker.

A major word of caution in using the document as show.

Do not ground either side of the speaker wires coming
from a Motorola or GE MA/COM radio. These radios use
an audio amp system that has a DC voltage on both
speaker wire. Grounding either of them will cause
damage to the audio am.
