Can a 800 MHz XTS5000 be made to receive input frequencies?

I'd like to be able to receive frequencies in the 806-824 MHz range (the range normally used for repeater input). Has anyone been able to do this?

To my knowledge no. The receiver is tuned for the output frequencies only, and the VCO would likely not even lock at the input frequencies.

One reason I hoped it would work is that this is a 700/800 MHz radio, implying that the receiver might be wide banded?

Or are there two separate receiver passbands in these radios?

You have to remember, on the 700/800 radios, all basic thoughts of radio go out the window. There never was a reson for the 800 radios to go down so low in the split (45Mhz offset)

I believe 700 is pretty close as well.
