Very nice radio. I'm certain you'll enjoy it.
Be careful, though. Before you know it...

I think we've all done it, so far be it from us to criticize you. It wasn't that long ago that I picked up my first ASTRO rig, and indirectly bragged about it in the form of numerous threads with questions. So I can totally relate, and have to say "Congrats!" for joining the ASTRO geeks here.

jnglmassiv is right (although his addiction is further along than mine). That "Why could you possibly need another radio?" voice in the back of your head will keep fading, until one day it's not there at all.

By the way, I think you'll find that that 1C5E, while not entirely legit, is quite nice. 8) Just please don't run MODAT on the local ham repeaters.

Or run MODAT all day long if you're not too keen on the OFs on that repeater 8)
