AS VOCON Board Swap

Post by cgroftmc »

Hello all, I have a VHF AS II that is Analog only, and a VHF AS I that is flashed for digital. I want to make the AS II digital. I think that all I need to do is swap the vocon board. Is there anything else that I need to do. Thanks for the help.

What are the size of the vocons? 512 vs 1mb and what are the host/dsp in each.

You will a digital s-rec for an AS2 and an analog s-rec for the AS1 then as well. Its not just a hardware swap.

You also need to either save and retune the radio with the original tuning values or completely retune both radios.
