I was looking at these a little closer, and was wondering if anyone uses a service such as Sprint for wireless internet with it. I have a friend that has the aircard in his toughbook, but there's no PCMIA slot on this computer. I would assume you use the WWAN slot, but has anyone setup this to work on a Sprint network? Is it anything more advanced than just setting up some software supplied by Sprint?

The MW800 has one PCMCIA slot under the flip up door on the front of the cpu. I use a sprint card in a Kyocera KR1 wireless router. You can either add 802.11 to the mw800 or connect the KR1 to the LAN port on the back of the cpu.

If you want to add 802.11 to it, I bought a nice wireless CF card from a company on the net. I can give you the link. Its a little over $100 bucks if I remember right. Not to mention you can add GPS to it cheap enough as well.

Does it have an external antenna connection?

The MW800 has an internal CF card slot for a wireless card. Depends on the wireless card you get. The one I got is 802.11b/g and you add antennas to it so you can get whatever kind of antenna you want. I ran both out (fits in the GPS and WLAN ant holes, pull the plugs) and I put on wlan router type antennas.
