Is it possible to add a feature that would display the site ID and the RSSI of that site while any Talkgroups are active in a SmartZone system?
Can the EEPROMs be changed to do this? Has anyone on here disassembled the relative code? Is there space in the EEPROM to add a feature?
Would a feature like that be in the PROM? If so can that be hacked?
Obviously this would not be enabled through RSS but maybe it doesn't need to be?

I didn't think Astro Radios supported RSSI, I know you can program a a button to show the current site, but didn't think there was an RSSI option

if you program a button for site does it not display the RSS or am I thinking of an XTL.
The site button on a quick push shows the site and a long press searches the sites.
You need to program the site numbers and names in the trunking system menu.
You can also enable the lock button which locks it to a site.
I'll check on the RSSI when I'm at work

If the radio is programmed for SmartZone and the site button is enabled, site data then RSSI values will be displayed.
In WAC/AMSS settings, the SITE button only displays the site.
In both cases, a long-press will make the radio go into site search.

Thanks for confirming that Josh.
I new I wasn't imagining it but with
MCS 2000 (model I and II)
Astro Specrta (W3,W4 and W5)
XTL 1500, 2500
XTL5000 with W3,W4,W5 and 05
on the system I maintain It's easy to get confused.
Oh well my memory still works which is good to know.
