It's the normal front sticker but for the "I" version, the sticker on mine is about the only thing that has been damaged, I've got a way of ordering the above I just need the part number for it, any help would be appreciated.

Also on a side note do they make yellow cases for the XTS2500/2500I? I've only ever seen black.

Why in God's name would you want a yellow one anyway? They're as ugly as sin. If I bought a yellow radio, the first thing I'd buy for it would be a black case!

Most people when they see a black 3000 think law enforcement of some discription due to the size and look of the radio and theirs times when you have a radio on you and if a "Joe Blow" happens to see you with it somehow you dont want those people thinking law enforcement... Best of both worlds = One of each and chose it depending on the task

An easier solution is not to go walking around anywhere with it in plain sight. Hide it under a jacket, jumper, untucked T-shirt etc.

Another is to not hang around Cronulla, Brighton le Sands, Mac Fields etc!

Did I say plain sight? NO... Oh and those suburbs were an example Just because you think they are ugly because you were probably in the SES with orange LCD surrounds doesn't mean you have to preach it all across the world... You hate em... Good on ya... But some people dont care about applying your preference to their own gear.

2500i's are nice radios.

The recase on them is pretty interesting. They are built almost identical to the waris series, where there is one cable running from the motherboard to the keypad, and then the display hangs off the keypad. The rubber membrane keypad seems to be a different part number for the 2500 vs. 2500i, however, in the svc manuals, they are listed the same. The Model III case for the 2500i doesn't seem to hold the keypad rubber membrane like it should.

Your best of re-ordering the shield assembly, the actual keypad, and the rubber membrane if you replace the case. The metal shield holds in the keypad, and it's got 4 metal parts that hook in to the case. They are an extreme :o to get in, let alone out.

There is usually a 1-2 month delay in getting the actual keypads, and if your lucky, the opener isn't listed as NLA this week (seems to waffle back and forth).
