I have an MSF 5000 that is missing a power supply. I noticed the MSR 2000 power supply looks very similar. Does anyone know if they are interchangeable?

Thanks

Well, that depends...

Since you have left out critical details, I will make some assumptions.

The large power supply for a 100 watt station is interchangeable, but you have to take off the additional regulator boards and stuff on the lower edge of the power supply.

After that, you should be fine.

HOWEVER, if you are starting out with an MSF that's a smaller version such as a 45 watt output in the smallest cabinet, and I am assuming UHF and pay attention because 12 volt is for UHF as 24/28 (depending upon how you look at it) is for VHF, the mounting tabs are different at the top of the cabinet and you will have to retap or reweld these depending upon how your cabinet is built.

That's how this works, because I have done this exact operation.

Thanks for the info. Yes this would be for the 100W UHF.
