I did a search and didnt find anything that helped me so here it goes.

i have a gm300 to set up for a ems station. they only want it to alert them when their tones go off. How do you set it so it only opens when the right set of tones are set off and you dont hear anything else untill then?
Thanks in advance

As long as they're using Quick Call, you should just have to reprogram the radio to RX QCII tones instead of PL or CSQ.

You just have to know what Hz tones they're using and you should be set.

you will also have to set the squelch to "and" so it will not open unless it recieves the correct pl and qc tones

You can't change the alert beep, but using the horn alert output, you can trigger another chime or noise maker of your choice>

I'm not 100% sure, but on newer mobiles aren't you able to change the alert tones? I was able to play with a CDM1550LS+ and in the menu/utilities/tones it had MDC call tone option, with about 5 or 6 different tones. Can those be assigned for QC alerting as well?
