Busy Channel Lockout????

From what I understand, busy channel lockout prevents any radio from transmitting while that frequency is busy correct? Does this work on analog or conventional systems or just trunked systems? Also, is this a feature programmable for the Saber 1Es and saber 2s? Thanks again.

With this enabled, will the user hear a beep or tone if he tries to transmit on the busy channel?

Yes, it works on conventional systems, too. It basically won't transmit if it detects a signal on the frequency.

I'm pretty sure all Sabers support it, though it's been a while and I never really used that feature.

FWIW, I believe you can ignore non-matching PL/DCS codes. Some radios also support "Smart PTT" I think it's called, where 'double-tap' of the PTT button will override BCLO. I'm not too sure if a Saber supports that, though.
