What could be bad about somthing so simple?

These are pretty universal. But they work well to do the job.

Cut some plastic pipe to fit. Black if you can find it.

slide some bigger pipe over smaller pipe to keep em centered. Tubing also.

Or

Make some spacers out of stock.

I love the console. It was easy to install and easy to put my equipment into, I just need some spacers and an armrest (and i dont want to pay that high dollar Galls price for one).

Do you mean spacers between the sides of the radio and the wall of the console, or blank faceplates? I've used a stack of just plain washers to secure a "narrow" Kenwood. Wrap the stack in split-loom tubing or electrical tape if it's too shiny. Radio Shack used to sell a pack of assorted "car stereo mounting brackets" - black L-brackets in various sizes - that can cover the space between the radio and the console.

Instead of blank faceplates, add more radios :D

I agree that I might not put a Pro Copper console in an agency vehicle, but it sure works well in a POV. Insulated cup holders, too.

Not every agency has the high dollars that big cities have. These are better than the alternative in this case...

Id rather spend money available on lighting and noise maker...
