Are 1MEG boards (spectra or saber) absouletly required to use basic secure functions, or will they operate with 512k board?
I picked up a UCM (3.52 I think) from a board memeber. Initally I will just getting key fails (can't find my KVL cable to load a key). Then yesterday, I was getting 9/10's and 1/90's with a 512k spectra.

the UCM version is tied to firmware as to whether or not it will work.
if memory serves, only ucm 2.xx and lower modules will function below host 5/6....

Hmm.. akardam also sent me a SRN about the same problem that I am having, but I suspect the vocon issue more than anything.

The firmware was bumped up to the most recent about a year or two ago, so I suspect its just being 512. I should know more later tonight. Just may have to swap vocons for this radio.
