Need to put in some all-call pages for a dispatch center I just switched from a CentraCom II to a Zetron 4048.
I am working with the following cap codes:
Y155
Y177
Y122
Y199
Y244
And for some reason I am consfusing the crap out of myself trying to program these in.
Can anyone convert these for me?
Thanks
Nick

Nick,
Try here:
http://www.batlabs.com/qciitbl4.html
The Y codes are special high capacity paging codes. All the tones you listed are "all call" 8 second single tone format.
Y155 is 602.6 hZ - Athens All-Call
Y177 is 741.3 hZ - Glouster All-Call
Y122 is 441.6 hZ - Wellston All-Call
Y199 is 912.0 hZ - Jackson All-Call
Y244 is 562.3 hZ - Oak Hill All-Call
Hope this helps.

That is great, but for some reason Zetron will not let me put a number in for a custom call such as:
602.6hz
or 6026 or 06026...
it will let me go as far as 602

Oh, you need the manual keyboard entry code.
Try this:
Y155 ... enter
9755, then page
Y177 ... enter
9777, then page
Y122 ... enter
9722, then page
Y199 ... enter
9799, then page
Y244 ... enter
9844, then page
that's the Motorola Centracom format for Y cap codes. On many things, Zetron doesn't try and reinvent the wheel. Hopefully, that'll work for you.

No, put the freqs into the Zetron custom without the decimal part and they should work just fine.

for some reason it isnt taking those freq's...
and entering 9971 , ect doesnt do any good because there needs to be a leading digit setup, but for what tone groups?

The Zetron will take your freqs, if you follow the following steps (based on Series 4000, but similar if not identical for others);
Read the file.
Go to Edit, System Functions
Go to Paging Format Configuration
Pick a free leading digit and define it as Custom (Plectron)
Back out one step and go to edit custom calls.
Now you can make a bunch of entries, each starting with 1 plus 1 and going as high as you like, and for each entry you specify the first tone freq and duration, gap, and second tone freq and duration.
I just tried all of 602, 741, 442, 912 and 562 Hz, and all were accepted. As noted earlier, you can ignore the decimal part of a pager freq and still be close enough to trigger any pager I've ever encountered.
Save and write to the console.
To page, key in 1 plus the rest of the digits for the unit you want and press Page Send.
