I have a Minitor II that needs to alert to a long B group tone (ambulance) or a long C group tone (SAR). Right now it is jumpered to alert to long B or long C.

Would it be possible if I changed the jumpers so that the pager alerts to a A-B tone and a long C, and put the same reeds in the A and B slots that the pager would give the intermittent alert tone for one group tone and the steady alert tone for the other group tone?

I guess what I need to know is, if a min.II is set up to only alert to an AB tone and I wanted it to alert to a long B, could I just put the same reed in the A and B slot?

Not sure I'm following... is your goal that Long B is actually treated as an A-B so you get the interrupted alert for your ambulance pages and a continuous alert (Long C) for the SAR pages? I have not tried it but it should be possible.

You'll need three tone filters total -- two for your "B" tone and one for your "C" tone. Put the two "B" tones into the A & B slots, and the C into the C slot.

You'll then need the pager configured for tone set #2 (option R130). According to the info at http://www.batlabs.com/minitor.html that will alert to A-B, A-C and Long C (but ignores Long B). So the pager will give you an interrupted alert for A-B and a continuous alert for Long C.
