Searching for a schematic HPN4001B switching supply

Already talked the /\/\'s tech department... no go!

Tried visiting the site of the people who made the thing for /\/\... nothing listed. Probably can't give out info on a contract build anyway.

Might some one have the schmeatic laying in a dusty drawer somewhere?
The customer admitted to watering it accidentally... fzzzzzzzz!

Being that it's a switcher, more might be ruined than what it's worth, but I now have two of them... something to mess with for education's sake.

Thanks, Stan

From a post by Stickman:

"The HPN4001B Power Supply is manufactured by Astec P/N AE210-3101 for Motorola. Astec can be reached at (888) 41 ASTEC, "

I could not get any info out of Astec, and working on them is a ^(tch....sort of a piss poor design.. I gave up and replaced all of them with Duracoms, no more problems.

That supply

Thanks, stickman, I figured that that's how it was going to be.
Another company who's almost impossible to get schematics out of is TripLite.
One time they did provide one, but it was the wrong vintage then, "No-way!".
I had to reverse engineer one of their 40 amp guys a while back... strange design, not your typical LM723 and some big transistors. Blow the regulation amp and your into a redesign, the chip's now obsolete.

Who likes these things? Went through the same service hassles years ago trying to get an Astec fixed. Just junked it and went with an Astron. No problems with schematics, parts, etc. And yet, the other day, just installed a new rack charger with another POS Astec "time bomb" on it.
