Not quite.. .
the NTN5612A is for the Genesis family of radios (HT600, P200, MT1000, MTX800, MTX900)
For the MTS2000 you will need one for the Jedi family.
you need kit N1671A, consisting of NTN1340A holder, plus control unit [one of: NTN1322A (universal w/o RFPA), NTN1323A (w/ VHF RFPA), NTN1324A (w/ UHF RFPA), NTN1325A (w/ 800 RFPA), or NTN1326A (w/ 900 RFPA)], and interface cable NKN6453A (8ft) or NKN6454A (16ft), and optional amplified speaker HSN1000B.
If you are using a RFPA, you need an additional coax between the holder and the control unit, which can be easily built, and you need the power cable(s) for the control unit and RFPA (standard maxtrac/spectra type, one for control unit, and one for the RFPA module.)
The microphone is a HMN1035C or HMN1056D.
The HMN3013 and HMN1037 DTMF types, and the earlier HMN1056A are NOT compatible.
the MTS2000, MT2000, MTX8000, MTX9000 radios need software versions R01.15 for front display, R01.00 for top display, or R05.00 for secure equipped radios, or later.
All HT1000's are compatible (or so the manual says..)
Radios shipped after May 1993 are compatible. Radios shipped prior to August 1992 may need software updates. Radios shipped between those dates need to be programmed with RSS R02.00.00 or later, which will automaticly correct values related to MTVA operation.
