Believe me that I did try the search mode for this topic, but when it came up with over 300 topics, I fiqured it was better to repost the question. It has been about 4 years since I have used my Astro's and, I need to retrieve the flash codes mainly on my Astro Saber. It has a problem and I am trying to determine if I sent it the wrong codeplug.
I will also like the method of retrieving the codes from an Astro spectra too.
Thanks

press the home button 5 times on the Astro Spectra
Press the bottom button on the Saber
This is of course when you power up the unit.
The other way is use CPS and read the radio

I have tried both bottom buttons and neither will put radio in test mode. My CPS is DOS so I have to look around for a computer that will run it

Did you wait for the self-test to complete ?

Make sure that you are pressing those buttons Bruce mentioned upon power up of the units. So when you see the selected channel pop up on the display after self check, hit the respective button 5 times.

If you end up with 1 CSQ displayed on the screen after doing it - you hit the button too many times and it skipped the self check screens with the details you want.

OK, got it now.
Thanks
Does anybody have parts lists for the Astro Saber. I am checking to make sure my radio has the proper RF board, 450-512, and what vocon.

OK I don't get a flash code only-Host R03.00.00 DSP I04.02.09 EMC R00.60

Now I know the radio does do Astro mode, but I ahve no idea what other options

You'll need to read the radio then in order to display the flashcode. Due to the old host/dsp, the radio will not display it's flashcode in test mode.

Is this a model 3 Astro Saber, model H04SDH9PW7AN, with a 465AVNxxxx serial number?

I ask because I have one with that exact same HOST and DSP revision. It was surplused from Shell Oil in Deer Park, Texas. If yours happens to be from the same lot, the flash is going to support VSELP, conventional, and (I'm not making this up, either) MDC1200 PTT ID Display.
