Gentlemen,
I have a HT1250LS that once turned off, requires the battery to be removed and reinserted before powering back up. Another way to say this is that the radio will not turn back on after being turned off. I have used known good batteries, checked for flex issues, and cannot find any internal physical or liquid damaged. Is this a vol pot issue or maybe a firmware deal? Thanks in advance.... FatBoy.

it has the contaminant kit and the firmware is pretty new. i'll bet you end up with a cs error or hw error soon.

This sounds somewhat similar to the problem described in Motorola FSB10007B posted on MOL. In part, they say "Battery removal and reattachment is needed to restore radio operations." Cause is internally exposed brass insert for the accessory connector on the side of the housing. Their fix is a piece of Kapton tape (p/n 1471531L01) to cover the insert on the inside of the housing. I would think a piece of electrical tape would last long enough to tell you if it is the problem and, if so, get the proper part.

Just pulled the pics off of MOL. Will check that in the morning. Sucks I already ordered the flash adapter for firmware upgrades-oh well, it is the bosses money ;_} Will advise if this fixes the problem. Thanks again, FatBoy.
