Printing information from rss

Has anyone had this happen or have an idea how to fix this issue?

is there a way to change the length of the document that is printed?

The problem i am having is when ever i print a file from the rss, it seems the page length in the software is longer than 8.5"x11". the page number gets cut off and printed on the second page. If you were to print 1 page, the "page 1" will end up printing by itself on the second page. this happens with the old dos versions using either a regular ink jet or laser, i have not tried printing on a old dot matrix form feed to see if it makes a difference.

Same thing here.
I had to use a laser printer that I could change the lines per page. I added 2 or 3 lines to the default setting..

The very old RSS software print routines were written towards the Epson/IBM dot matrix printers. Revisions of the software would not update the print routines UNLESS there was a problem with the print routine. As deznetwork mentions, change your printer's default to about 65? lines per page.

Just a guess but could it be that the paper is set to A10 or A4 or whatever the Europian version of paper is? Just a guess. But the dot matrix thing sounds viable.

You can use a program called VPrint that snatches the print commands to a text file. Then edit the file in NotePad or such.

A couple of my shop computers do not have a printer, so I catch them with VPrint and it saves a text file I can take to the computer with the printer.

I have the extra line problem on DOS RSS, and yes it does depend on the printer's settings.
