Why so many VHF P25's out there, but Less UHF

Post by libuff »

i've noticed that with many of the non-moto companies, someone pointed out Thales Communiciatons, looks like a decent radio with Saber Connectors on it, quite interesting, would have liked to see jedi connectors, but...

anyway, tangent...

i've seen many companies producing VHF only p25 offerings, but no UHF, anyone know why?

What radios do you own?: X9000 thru APX

Beyond that... VHF is still the "king" of the bands. You will find more liceneses there than UHF. Generally speaking. If you notice, many radios tend to be offered in VHF, then you see them in U and/or 8. Just something that I have noticed as well.
Lowband radio. The original and non-complicated wide area interoperable communications system
