Just out of wondering...what exactly is the purpose of this sticker and the 2 little "vents" on the back of XTS5000's? Wouldn't the battery on there "block" them just having the battery on?

Just something I couldn't really figure out.

Its generally on rugged radios only.
It is for equailizing pressure when testing the rugged stuff.
It also help keeps the radio rugged when flying by equalizing the pressure.

Interesting because I have non-rugged B model XTS1500's in V and U that have the same vents at the bottom, so there must be some other reason why.

I have an XTS3K R and it has the vent, and another non-rugged 3K without the vents, so I'd agree that has to do with equalization.

This is from SRN - 1439
and explains it a little better. I guess I was on the right track but not quite there yet.

The XTS 3000/3500/5000 Portable products have a ‘breathing’ vent that provides an air path to accommodate product internal
pressure changes which occur when user’s move from cold to warm environments and visa versa.
No labels or stickers should be placed over this vent. Blocking the vent will have adverse effects on audio quality as internal
pressure changes can restrict the movement of sound producing components.

The following text is also being added to the user guides for the XTS 3000/3500/5000 products.
“The XTS radio casting has a vent hole that allows for pressure equalization in the radio. Never poke this vent with any objects,
such as needles, tweezers or screwdrivers. This creates a leak path into the radio and the radio’s submergibility is lost. The
pressure equalization vent is located on the chassis, just below the battery contact. Never obstruct or cover the two slots with any
object, including a label. Ensure that no oily substances come in contact with this vent.”
