Hey peoples...does anyone know what THIS: NMN 6192 is? I saw it on a ebay.de ...looks like regular jedi mic, but has an antenna connection, but coiled cord... It fits the GP900, the Euro version of the HT1000 I guess - will this work on a HT1000 VHF? Comments, thoughts? Thanks, here the link...

I have a NMN 6192, it is the same style as the jedi speaker mic (NMN 6193), but has a remote connection for the antenna. The antenna works resonably on VHF/UHF, but sucks on 800/900 due to the loss in the coax (guess they shouldn't have coiled it up eh?) It also has three buttons on the side, two are for volume hi/low. It will work fine with the Jedi Series

In the UK the same speaker/mic but with a straight cord goes under a part number of NMN6241, the third button is an orange Emergency button for use on MT/MTS2000..

Some VHF Jedi radios do not have the external RF switch (on the RF board) that routes the antenna to the external accessory jack for PS spkr/mics. It is the little plunger at the top of the accy jack.

I had a NOS one a while ago. Nice mics, but I think they were recalled or something like that due to the effect that the coil had in the cord on the mic's RF. I modded mine to act as a regular mic (remove the RF and plunger pin(s) )
