Disable it with RSS or set your own PW.

tHAT's my question ...do you just enter what I might remember it to be or do I have to enter a key combo and then the pasword ?
I do nto have the RSS setup ... I might (will) have to find someone in TO, Ont. Can that will or can prog with RSS ....
nOT sure how to find someone that can prog the models I have in TO Ont Can????

I believe it's typically the password that was set, and then hit the aqua colored button at the top above the PTT. If not, read with RSS and change it or disable the feature.

I'm sorry but in my other note .....I do not have the RSS setup ...
so to confirm, your suggestion is "just" enter what I believe the password is ... and then the aqua "THE LIGHT" will unlock ???
sincere thanks,

That is correct. It's been a while since I played with passwords on Jedi's - but if I'm wrong, I'm sure somebody can correct me.
The worst the radio can do is tell you no!

Re: keypad unlock
Sometimes I have seen a keypad lock programmed on the concentric switch below the channel select also. No password required.
