Have tried sending you an email and private message.

Jim,

I got the codeplug, thanks.
The problem that has cropped up is the "BUSY line locked" error.
The Service part works just fine, but try to load an archive into the Spectra and get the ERROR.

I looked at the RS232 DATA and it looks distorted so the computer may not be able to get the ONEs and ZEROs sorted out.

Getting out my older Toshiba computer to see if it is the same.
And yes, three different RIBs, and cables tried.

I have run into that before. Forgot which sequence I managed to find to get around
the problem. Like power down the radio with the rib connected and power it back, or
power down the rib and back on before you try running the RSS. Took me a number of attemps, but got it to work.

Seems part of the problem is the codeplug in the radio. Once you get past it, all works
fine from then on.

Had a couple of 800 Spectra units that did the same thing. Forced in a new plug via
a forced clone and they now work.
