M1225 Local / Distance question...

Post by kb0nly »

Does anyone know the specification, or have they measure, the difference when its set to either? I'm assuming setting it to local must put some attenuation inline, but how much is the unknown!

Local setting changes, lowers, the gain of the receiver RF amp stage. usefull to reduce receiver generated intermod in very high RF inviorments. ...like on top of Mount Wilson.

About a 3db drop in senstivity in Local setting.

Will thanks a lot. I just read the RX M1225 on my repeater and it was set to local, so I changed it to distance, hopefully I will get better RX range, as its been especially poor lately.
