XTS5k and Commander Mic 5021 and 5023, firmware bug???

Anyone running host 9.03 that has a 5021 or 5023 commander mic? My XTS5k is activating the 2nd side button when I put the mic on the radio, power up the radio with the mic attached or press the vol up/down buttons on the mic (even though it still changes the volume). Tried two mics that work fine on a 3k, both do the same on my 5k. Even changed the control flex in the radio and still the same issue.
Anyone out there that can try the same thing, my 2nd button is programmed for scan.
Thanks
Jason

I don't see any SRN's on it. There was one for earlier XTS's with a volume issue, but that effected radios around host 4.x. (SRN1447)

I'm hoping someone has a 9.03 radio and a commander mic can tell me if their's does the same thing or not. If its not a firmware issue then the radio has a more serious problem and is useless to me.

Was unaware r09.03.00 was out. I have R09.00.03, and threw my commander mic on the radio - no problems with UHF or VHF 5K's.
Not sure the actual model number of my commander mic, but it's 1 year old, has the top orange button, up/down vol on front of mic, and below the PTT are RAT1 and RAT2 buttons.

I have 9.something with a commander mic. I'll double check the host when I get home from work. I haven't used it much, but haven't noticed any problems.

Yes you are right, I meant 9.00.03, oops. Any chance you could program your second side button for scan and try it?
Thanks for checking.

No problemo. I took the top orange button to Dynamic Priority, RAT1 to Light, and RAT2 to scan.
No problems with scanning. Press it once to scan, press again to stop scan
Here's the commander mic I use:

I programmed mine with the 2nd botton as scan and have no problems with it. I used a 5021 mic and have 9.00.03.

Hey FireMaster, just by looking at my mic in the photo, can you tell the model number of it?

Ain't a 5021... sure hope you're not confusing the 5038 to be a commander

Ok guys, after dumping the original "Factory" codeplug back into the radio and assigning my switches and buttons to match what I had in, no problems. So I figure, what do I have programmed in my radio which most users probably don't have. HHHmmmmmm, HHCH programming since I have an XTVA. Well side button 3 is programmed as scan. Set all HHCH buttons to unprogrammed, radio and mic combo work fine. Go back into HHCH button programming, leave all unprogrammed except side button 3, which I make scan. Program it up, attach mic, problem comes back. So it would appear the radio is being totally confused by this. A glitch I guess. Any thoughts?
