Has anyone converted or knows how to convert a Spectra with an A5 or A7 head to work with an HHCH? I have an HHCH with the accompaning interface but after changing out the A5 control head it had origionally to the HHCH the radio won't even power up. Obviously I am missing something. The radio is a 900 Spectra with Ver 1.14 MLM

Still tryying to convert a Spectra to be used with an HHCH. HHCH lights up and goes into a weird las vegas scan. leds flashing all over. Anyway I looked at 2 other HHCH radios that I know work and discovered that on each radio only 1 eprom exists on the MLM board. Does this mean that the software is specific for the HHCH. Is it a good idea to clone the one eprom and change the MLM to match the workng radio or are there command board issues as well? Anyone had experience with HHCH and the Spectra?

A3 radios have different MLM's than the other models. You have to get an A3 MLM.

I had an hunch that was the case. If I clone the eprom from a good HHCH radio will that get it working? Also a bit off topic This radio was converted to conventional but the radio still shows the one trunk mode in the first mode position is there a procedure to remove the last trunk mode.
