Unidentified RIB-to-radio cable?

Hi everyone!
I have here what looks to be a RIB-to-radio programming cable which plugs into a Motorola RIB box, but I can't identify what it works with. It came along with an RLN4008B RIB which I bought from a friend, and he also knows nothing about it. As can be seen in the photo, it has a 25-pin connector for the RIB, and an RJ-45 for the radio. The weird part is the box in between with the BNC connector. Inside the box is a big electrolytic capacitor with one end tied to the center pin of the BNC and the other end connected to a pin on the radio connector. No numbers on anything anywhere but it looks manufactured. Anyone know what I've got here? Thanks in advance
