Unidentified RIB-to-radio cable?

Hi everyone!

I have here what looks to be a RIB-to-radio programming cable which plugs into a Motorola RIB box, but I can't identify what it works with. It came along with an RLN4008B RIB which I bought from a friend, and he also knows nothing about it. As can be seen in the photo, it has a 25-pin connector for the RIB, and an RJ-45 for the radio. The weird part is the box in between with the BNC connector. Inside the box is a big electrolytic capacitor with one end tied to the center pin of the BNC and the other end connected to a pin on the radio connector. No numbers on anything anywhere but it looks manufactured. Anyone know what I've got here? Thanks in advance :)

Looks like the old Maxtrac box. The BNC port should be for injecting audio for deviation testing on TX.

Okay, thank you guys. Might it also work with the Maratrac and/or Radius etc. mobiles? My use would be to program Maratracs....

Works fine with those radios also. !!DO NOT plug that into a MCS2000!! Unless you want to wait for the control head to come back from the depot before you can finish the radio install.
