Fitting a handset to a Systems Saber - does impedance matter

Hello everyone.
I got a H-250 handset which consists of a 150 ohms microphone and a 1000 ohms sepaker.
Is there any way of getting this to work on a Systems Saber?
I already got a 6pin Hirose adaptor left from another project. So in theory I could just add the matching connnector to the handset...
But how about impedance? Will this work? Will I need an audio amplifier?
Thank you Batguys.

Why would you even consider such a thing in the first place?
And yes, impedance will matter...greatly.
I suspect this handset has a PTT included, but the microphone and speaker will have to be impedance matched to work properly.
Next comes the connection to the proper pins on the audio adaptor, and the #1 question of the day is...
HOW do you hang such a large item on your belt without getting stares and laughs form people?
I'll assume this is NOT for outside use.

I completely understand your astonishment.
The monster's for a B-movie set. Of course it's not necessary at all that the setup is working since the Saber isn't visible anyways but it surely would be of great geek valueâ„¢ if the prop could be used as an on-set intercom.
edit: Would it be possible to replace the receiver of a simple landline telephone with the 250 monstrum? How complicated is it to match impedances for this purpose?

If you really wanted to go all out...you could remove the internal guts from a working speaker/Mic and place the speaker and mic unit in the handset...saving actual functionality in the process.
The entire speaker/Mic and cable would directly connect to the Saber, and the only change being made, would be fitting the needed parts into the handset...VIOLA!

I actually made one of these mods just for fun with an H-250 handset. Basicly, you will have to gut the entire handset and replace everything.
The cord is a 4-core without screen, you need a 5-core cable with screen for the saber, the I added a 2kohm electrec microphone instead of the original one, and I also replaced the speaker with a 300ohm.
