Batboard

Can anyone help. I having been using CP040's to replace equipment in several systems recently, but this radio seems to have a more noticeable squelch tail than other radio units. these are generally mixed radio systems so the Motorola reverse burst wont work. does anyone know how to reduce the squelch tail on this radio?
