If it was an LA version, your regular CPS woudn't have read it.

Stupidity creates job security!
If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..
CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

my RSS will read all supported regions including LA
Re: CDM 1250 model number error
6.xx and up usually support both AA and LA versions, if the software is for a servicer, I have heard of a version for COAM only that is either one or the other.
Since 6.xx, the software does not discern the Americas or Latin America version difference.
Look at the frequency band information in the radio information tab. The limits will tell you which radio it is.
For your purposes, if the software reads it, and the radio falls within the band limits you need, it shouldn't make any difference, other than type acceptance issues.
