HT1250 EEPROM HW Error
I have a HT1250 low band and on a call last night halfway thru the incident I noticed that I was no longer recieving anything. I looked at my display and it read "EEPROM HW ERROR", I removed that battery and everything was fine after that and even today no issues. The software release is R03.01.03. Is this something to be concerned about or just a random occurance that can be fixed by a power cycle. The last time it was programmed CPS V6 was used and that was some time ago, no recent changes have been made to the codeplug. Any help is greatly appriciated.
Re: HT1250 EEPROM HW Error
That's some pretty old firmware... I would definitely upgrade it.
I believe the latest is R05.12.02 (May 25, 2007) for HT series portables, and R05.05.22 (May 25, 2007) for CDM series mobiles.

Re: HT1250 EEPROM HW Error
It could also be related to the SRN that deals with the brass insert for the accessory jack thumb screw making contact with the main board of the radio. I would give you the SRN but MOL appears to be down.

Re: HT1250 EEPROM HW Error
If it means anything in regaurds to the SRN I keep a spearker mic on it.
Re: HT1250 EEPROM HW Error
I have a vhf 1250 with this same error. Worked fine, then came up with EEPRM HW ERROR.
Is this worth fixing?
What is the charge roughly?
Any help is appreciated

Re: HT1250 EEPROM HW Error
If it's a constant EEPRM HW ERROR, then it will have to be reflashed.
If it comes and goes, you probably need a firmware upgrade anyway.

reflashed, that doesn't sound that bad.
a HW eeprom error Doesn't require a new system board/ic chip?
Where can I get this reflashed?
Thanks again
