A friend is looking for the Owners Manual for an older Motorola battery conditioner RLN-1001A. This one is for the Saber batteries if that makes a difference
Thanks,

Hello Group,
Our agency recently aquired a Motorola Saber Battery Conditioner Gang unit. It is a Motorola Communications Parts Division Stampted and is a Model # RLN1001A ... We powered the unit up and it will charge the batteries in the gang unit slots, but doesn't seem to do any conditioning or analyzing. I have attempted to use different push series of the button under each battery cup and still the same with both NEW and used batteries.
The unit has one button and one LED display screen under each battery cup and then a red, amber and green LED light at the top of each cup. There is also a top connection that pulls out of each cup and a wire runs from the unit to the top of the battery to discharge the battery i figure.. The button can be pushed and you can get it to beep 1, 2 or 3 times before it wont beep anymore. Each battery we have put in and then connected the battery top to discharge it gets the same response. The cup will cycle then go and display a # 1 and the red light on the cup will flash.
Now, a little note about the batteries, before you all try to tell me that all the batteries are bad..... He have been using the batteries and they all still take a charge in all of our other agency chargers without problem. The batteries give about a 12-16 hour use per charge. We have also tried using our brand new batteries we received in the past 2 months in the conditioner/analyzer and got the same display/response. This leads me to believe that there is something with the conditioner/analyzer and NOT the batteries, since we have tried with Both BRAND NEW and Used batteries!
If anyone has a manual in either print or electronic form, please let me know. Our volunteer fire dept needs to figure out what the problem is ASAP. If anyone can help solve the problem and help us to get this unit working to analyze and condition our batteries, please reply ASAP.
~ Thanks

Once again, IIRC. First connect the heat to the top of the battery and place in charger.
Second allow battery to FULLY charge.
Third press button. Each "beep" is for a full discharge/recharge cycle. If you press the button and get three beeps, you have instructed the analyzer to discharge and recharge the battery three times. After the battery is recharged the analyzer should give a digital readout of the battery condition, however that readout is MOST LIKELY NOT a TRUE reading. The analyzer was designed for a specific mAH rated battery (no I don't remember which one). Other battery ratings required that the readout be multiplied by a battery specific calibration factor. The calibration factor was listed in an addendum to the manual. So you need the manual AND the addendum.
