The two tones are both used to open your pager. The other tone would be an alert tone. What kind of pagers are you using now? If they are Minitor, or II's you can open them up and look at the reeds. If they are III"s, IV's, or V's you will need to ask the people programming them. Your dispatch center should also know.

Dispatch has no clue they just push a button, and we are useing a mix of GE, minitor III's and IV's and some other ones, I want to know if there is a way to decode the tones by recording them and useing software to decode and I know both tones unlock it and the second set is an alert tone thats what I said I just wasn't sure how to say it.

You can use Cool Edit Pro to decode the tones, but that is a PITA. You can also call the vendor who sold the Minitors and ask them. It may take them a bit to look it up, but they should be able to do that.

I use Cool edit. It is quick and easy.
Are you able to get a recording of the tones? PM me and I will give you me e-mail address. Send we a recording (wav file) and I can advise.
