HT1250 Woes

Hi guys, I have a very very bad problem. I have an HT1250, and I used the tuner to backup my tuning data, as well as adjust the rated audio slightly and the squelch attenuators (to allow squelch to open on weaker signals). I'm using Global Tuner R02.05.00, as soon as I hit the program all tuning data button, the radio did its programming beep, and then the Tuner program crashed. The radio restarted and I was left with EEPRM CS ERROR... Now, I had read that reloading a good codeplug can clear this error, so I tried to reload the last good codeplug (as well as the original). No dice.
I also figured, on a hunch if the radio is bricked anyway, to see if I could read it with the Pro CPS ... amazingly the radios reads just fine, however, slightly disturbing to myself, in Radio Information, the Serial Number now reads 012345679. Which led me to believe the internal or the portion the normal programming CPS doesn't write was corrupted. So I went back to the tuner to try and program my backed up tuning data back into the radio, but, due to the fact that the serial number got corrupted (I wish I knew how this happened, because from what I understand its impossible to corrupt?), the tuner refuses to write any data to the radio.
Reading the radio with the tuner results in the error: All radio softpot information invalid !!
Any ideas? I'm thinking that the radio will probably have to be either reflashed or sent to Motorola.
