Hello
Forgive if these have been asked recently. I searched buy not extensively.
I am programming a System Saber in VHF for a local volunteer firefighter. I am not familiar with System Sabers on regular ones.
I can't seem to get a DPL of 532 into the radio, it just doesn't like it. Any way around this?
Also one local FD here uses what appear to be narrow band freqs 154.1675, again the radio just doesn't seem to like this one. Is there setting I'm missing?
My last question is: is there a way to get the radio to be set for quick call II by the user. I want to have the channel operate normally then the user can hit a button and the radio will remain mute until it hears the correct tones. Or should I just program a seperate zone for this feature?
Any help is appreciate, it's been a long time since I had any kind of Saber on my bench never mind a System Saber.

Re: System Saber questions
Go to the PL section and read the help file; Systems Sabers have an odd limitation on the PLs and DPLs that can be used. From memory (and, therefore, maybe off a bit), it goes something like this: if PL 3B (131.
is used anywhere in the radio, then DPLs above a certain value (in the 5xx vicinity) may not be used.
You will likely be inclined to ask why such an odd limitation? Beats the you-know-what out of me.

Re: System Saber questions
Can't help you on the DPL portion, but the system saber will not do the splinter or narrow channels. Only the old fashioned 25khz settings.
