Airband Monitoring with motorola

Hello guys,
I would like to know if I can program an ht1250/1550 or cdm1250 to receive only our local Airport control tower on 132.05 or I shall be more confy with a scanner.

Nope, your radios are FM, air band radios are AM.

A lot goes in your antenna as well. Since aircraft are transmitting at a high altitude, you will receive them much farther away than you do than public safety frequencies. Invest in a good antenna be stay happy with a scanner!

It's not to my knowledge that Motorola ever made any airband radios. You'd think they would with the Micom HF and the GP300 Marine portable and all....but oh well.
iCom makes some pretty good stuff for Airband.
